Wednesday, December 05, 2007This is a photograph I shot today with my digital camera outside our back patio, and with a little help from ANFY Java. A very pretty first snow. Not too shabby a view from a very small apartment in town. The deer come frequently and so do lots of other creatures living in the wild. We have had a skunk, raccoon and young bunny visit us regularly right up to our glass door, not to forget the chipmunks, squirrels and birds. The black squirrels are incredible. The other day there was a gorgeous deer grazing and nibbling on the trees, he was not shy and came right into plain view. I didn't have my camera ready and didn't want to spook him, I enjoyed his visit too much.

You give a peaceful remembrance
I think of those days as a child
And the magical dreams you giveth
Decembers of yesterday and long ago
When my years were not so many
Dreams came easy and pardons known
And woes of today were not thought of
