-A blog is something private, and then again it is not, it is something shared, a moment or a thought, it need not be read by any to be needed by just one, this is my diary, my journal... this is my blog.-

From a land of long ago...
a gentle wind this way blows
With feet uncovered bare
and sparks of laughter
in her hair...

Only there a moment then
she is off, and gone again

What she leaves will linger on
because -SPIRIT- is never gone

Hello! Hello! [waves with both hands] It is very nice to meet you and thank you for dropping by. This introduction is for my other persona 'Spirit WindDelos'. As a Spirit I like to do my best to spread -SPIRIT- to others. *winks* Yes, the name may sound a bit strange, that's right. However, there is some meaning to it and if you can spare a moment of time to sit a spell with me, let me share with you how I found my -SPIRIT- name.

Delos, pronounced with a long e like 'Dee los', is an island of southeast Greece in the southern Aegean Sea. It is the smallest of the Cyclades Islands and was traditionally considered sacred to Apollo.

According to Greek mythology, Delos was the birthplace of Artemis and Apollo. Their mother, Leto, was banished from the earth by the jealous Hera, wife of Zeus, but Poseidon took pity on her and provided Delos as a place for her to rest and give birth.

A dirt path leads east to the base of Mt. Kynthos, where there are remains from many Middle Eastern shrines, including the Sanctuary of the Syrian Gods, built in 100 BC. A flight of steps goes up 368 feet to the summit of Mt. Kynthos (after which all Cynthias are named), on whose slope Apollo was born.

The girl's name Cynthia is pronounced SIN-thee-ah. It is of Greek origin, and its meaning is "from Mount Kynthos." Mythology: Kynthia was one of the names of Artemis, the goddess of the moon, referring to her birthplace on Mount Kynthos.

So there you have it, how this Cynthia was able to find her -S P I R I T- and name this persona. The spirit has a way of consoling and nurturing the body. It is on the highest mountain that our hearts most desire to be and it is our spirit that makes sure we get there. My suggestion to anyone is to find your spirit and let it take you to the top of your mountain.

Rustling winds, yearns the most
to see Spirit find them all
She roams thru air, not a ghost
and she does not stand too tall
My name is Spirit WindDelos
and I'm here to have a ball.
